Spanish Cricket Club (Work on progress)

For the young people of Indian or Pakistani origin, the cricket is a way to get closer to their origin.

Many of them were born in Spain where the Pakistani community represents 70.000 people of whom some 40.000 lives in Catalonia.

Sport acts as an important link to the Asian sub-continent for these immigrant communities.

Due to a lack of infrastructure, players train on vacant lots and the street.  However demonstrating the sports local importance there is now an official league that holds its matches in Barcelona’s Olympic baseball stadium.

The Spanish League of Cricket counts some 100 clubs all over the country.
